Did you know that you can tell if something is true or not be using search engines? It’s a good way to check the democratic concensus on any ‘truth’ issue and find out what you should think.
Try googling ‘bush rape’. 701,000 hits and this story:

“Clinton Rape” – over 4 million hits, I’m learning so much! Like this eerily

Except this one made NBC and ABC! What’s all that crap about ‘liberal’ media
anyway? Well, on with my scienteriffic studies….
“Reagan Rape” – only a million hits. He was kind of old. But Wait!

OH MY GOD! ALL OUR PRESIDENTS ARE RAPISTS! And the internet proves it! Except Obama. For now. I’m sure the internet will provide me with the proof I want when the time comes.
If someone says something you already thought, you still have to give props, because it’s probably already on the net.
John F. Harris crystalizes the reasons I voted for Clinton twice and really have trouble getting behind Obama: http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080912/pl_politico/13394;_ylt=AoZsZQwQgcvXTRhVqW5rEvZh24cA
Basically I think Obama is weak. Can he win? Can he hold the office for more than four years? Any Democrat we get right now will be crippled for the first four years by deficits and war in Afghanistan. A democratic controlled congress won’t do much good if we elect someone who can’t fight off the dogs and appear strong enough to get re-elected.
He has a message too abstract to do anybody any good. I havent heard anything about policy since early in the primaries and even then Obama’s ideas were mostly to cut taxes for the middle class. BFD, that’s ‘change’? They all quickly retreated into the basic im-a-christian-american-no-you-arent type of thing.
This seems to be the strategy of both sides of the fence right now, and honestly people seem fine with it, but it’s inherently corrosive – having tried an ‘issues’ campaign with Kerry and failed, due to the utter lack of interest of many americans in anything that they don’t immediately understand, it’s as if the DNC has succombed to Rovian campaigns that are about ‘character’ , whether or not the electorate likes the candidate as a person. A cult of personality, if you will.
But, in the end, any Democrat is better than any Republican. Mccain would leave this country in a complete shambles, with more of our liberties finally broken. Either of them will execute the war in Afgahistan in the same exact fashion, and leave the same number of ‘non combat’ troops stationed in Iraq as an effective back end.
Meanwhile, that once or twice in a lifetime event has occurred, I agree with an analysis by Pat Buchanan: http://news.yahoo.com/s/uc/20080819/cm_uc_crpbux/op_337089. Pat, I’m an anti-empire isolationist too, I just think we should be isolated with free health care and free school for life. On your dime!
